Located in a beautiful part of the Weald of Kent, this garden had been partly designed and the terrace area and white retaining walls were already present. I was first asked to do the planting around the seating area and along the side of the path. Although the garden was coming together, it was still missing something. A three-tiered clipped hedge, running parallel to the existing-wall, was planted which created a formal flat lawn area for games. A perimeter path leading to a new wildlife pond, which carried on encircling the garden, passed 17 mature trees that we planted to bring the surrounding landscape seemingly right into the garden.
